These weekly sessions provide a schedule of rowing for everybody from those curious to try for the first time, those wanting to row regularly for recreation, to those that want to train hard in a team for races.
The following schedule is valid from 9th Oct 2011
| Sunday 2:00pm-4:00pm | Social Rowing and Taster sessions. Come and have a go at rowing, even if you're not a member or have never rowed. Non club members are welcome to 3 taster sessions to let you decide whether to join NBRC. No need to book, just turn up. |

On Saturday 25 September the Scottish Coastal Rowing Project had its first foray into international racing when the St Ayle’s skiff, Skiff John B, from North Berwick took part in the Great River Race.
The North Berwick Crew of Clive Drewitt, Graeme McNicoll, Andy Knight, Johnny MacNair, Ken Reid and Maggie MacNair completed the gruelling course in 3 hours 27 minutes.

North Berwick became the first community to have use of two St Ayles skiffs, when their second was named, launched and raced on Saturday 28 August 2010. The boat is named “Skiff John B.” in memory of the last Provost of North Berwick, John Macnair, whose family donated a substantial sum of money to allow the kit to be bought. The boat was pushed from John Macnair’s former home in Forth Street to the beach, led by the North Berwick Pipe Band. John’s son, also John, was heavily invovled in the building of the boat, and was joined at the ceremony by his brother Billy and sister Wendy, and a crowd of around 400 people.
